Practice manager - Lisa Pierce
Lisa and Dr. Pierce were
married in 1995 in Heber Springs and she worked as the receptionist for several
years before finally agreeing to take on the duties of the
practice-manager. She still fills in as receptionist, assistant, kennel
worker and anything else that needs to be done but no one else will do it.
Lisa also plays guitar and sings gospel music and performs at churches
and other functions in the area. Lisa is
also a speaker in the Emmaus Community and is one of the music directors for the
local chapter of the community. In her spare time (at least, when she used
to have spare time), Lisa enjoys horseback riding and
hiking.
Receptionist - Heidi
Garner
Heidi was a manager at a restaurant before she decided to get into
the pet-health field. She worked for awhile as a veterinary assistant
before becoming the receptionist here at the clinic. She is shouldered
with the responsibility of keeping us straight and on schedule ( a task she has
told us she has decided is not possible!) Heidi has three children an
loves canoeing and fishing.
Terisa Dill, CVT - Certified Veterinary Assistant
Terisa Dill,
Terisa is a graduate of the Veterinary Technology Program at Arkansas State University, Beebe campus. She is both state and federally licensed as a Certified Veterinary Technician. This is roughly the equivalent of a 2yr RN program in human medicine. Terisa's primary responsibility is inpatient and outpatient care, but she also programs and runs the equipment in our in-house laboratory, as well as filling out the forms and preparing the samples that need to be sent for special testing. She also has the additional responsibility of keeping Dr. Pierce on schedule and dragging him out of the room when he is talking too much.
